Jonathan M. Apgar, Managing Partner
We have decades of experience defending DWI, public intoxication, drug possession, assault, and all other types of criminal cases in Collin County, Dallas County, Denton County, Tarrant County, and throughout Texas. Our tactical approach has resulted in many "not guilty" verdicts and thousands of dismissals.
Being arrested and accused of a crime is a very stressful situation, and it is normal to feel anxious about what will happen next. We will stand by your side and navigate you through this process as we protect your Constitutional rights. Thousands of clients have trusted us with their cases, and we have delivered successful results for an affordable fee.

It can happen to anyone. However, a DWI charge doesn't always mean a criminal record or a lengthy suspension of your driver's license. Let us help defend your DWI charge.
We fight public intoxication charges every day, and get 99% dismissed. It's easy to get arrested for this, but nearly impossible for them to convict you when we are on your side.
We defend all drug possession cases with compassion, not with judgment or criticism. And, in most cases, we can get these possession charges dismissed off your record.
There are two sides to every story. Let us be your advocate, and we will vigorously defend you against false or exaggerated accusations of threats, violence, or abuse.
This charge is becoming all too common these days with "self-checkout" mishaps and overzealous security. We can fight these allegations and help save your reputation.
Remember that old criminal case? So does everyone conducting a background check on you. Let's seal or destroy those records, and give you a clean slate.
Charge: PUBLIC INTOXICATION
Result: NOT GUILTY
A teacher was accused of being intoxicated at school. We took the case to trial. During cross-examination, the witnesses for the State made inconsistent statements and admitted they weren't sure if our client was intoxicated. The jury found our client NOT GUILTY in five minutes, and she was reinstated as a teacher.
Charge: DWI
Result: CASE DISMISSED
An aerospace engineer was driving home when he was pulled over for crossing over his lane line three times. He was arrested for DWI and hired Mr. Apgar as his criminal defense attorney. After a hearing, the Judge ruled the stop of our client’s vehicle was illegal, and his DWI charge was immediately DISMISSED.
Charge: DWI
Result: CASE DISMISSED
Our client made a legal U-turn under an elevated highway and crossed a single, solid white line while turning into a fast food restaurant. A police officer pulled him over and arrested him for DWI. After a hearing, the Judge ruled the stop of our client’s vehicle was illegal, and his DWI charge was DISMISSED.
Charge: AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
Result: CASE DISMISSED
Our client was accused of threatening someone with a knife. He denied it happened, but was facing a felony charge and prison time. After gathering affidavits from witnesses, we submitted our evidence to the Grand Jury, and they found insufficient evidence to charge our client. The case was immediately dropped.
Charge: ASSAULT FAMILY VIOLENCE
Result: CASE DISMISSED
Our client's soon-to-be-ex-wife claimed he pushed her during an argument. We discovered a recording in which she stated to a friend she had fabricated the "assault" charge to gain leverage in the divorce case. When presented with this evidence, the State immediately moved to DISMISS the case.
Charge: POSSESSION OF THC
Result: CASE DISMISSED
A Dean's List student at SMU was stopped by police while walking home from the bars. They searched him and found a vape containing THC, a felony charge. His future hung in the balance, but we reached an agreement with the State to DISMISS the felony case after our client performed 8 hours of community service.
